Discover about Plaine Commune

The event, organised by Plaine Commune, is a fun and sporting way of discovering the nine towns and cities of Seine-Saint-Denis through cycling routes and showcasing the local heritage. In Aubervilliers, two loop routes are available starting from the town hall, one to the east and the other to the west of the town, on either side of the Saint-Denis canal, allowing you to follow the development of La Plaine.

These routes feature tourist and historical markers presenting Aubervilliers’ heritage sites. Participants are invited to read the markers, observe their surroundings and answer the questions posed in the brochure distributed.

From the heart of the town, participants can cycle in groups or as a family, following the advice in the booklet provided. Each of the routes takes in the history of the city and offers the chance to discover different types of architecture, places to stroll, viewpoints and quarters with unusual alleyways.

Each route is around 7km long, and participants are encouraged to take their time, allowing around two hours per circuit, with well-earned breaks.
